“How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.” --Wayne Dyer
“If you're really a mean person [in your next life] you're going to come back as a fly and eat poop.” --Kurt Cobain
“Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can't get away with screwing people over your whole life, I don't care who you are. What goes around comes around. That's how it works. Sooner or later the universe will serve you the revenge that you deserve.” --The Karma Club
This week I have learned that some people will lie. They will have faults and errors, and rather than take ownership and responsibility of those faults, they will lie. I've learned that you can't trust people. I've learned that sometimes things aren't fair, and you can be as frustrated and pissed off about that as you want to, but in the end it doesn't fix a thing.
All I can do is be grateful it wasn't as bad as it should have been. All I can do is be grateful that I have my baby here with me... terrified of his own shadow, getting no sleep, barking at every single noise, but in one piece physically, at least. I can feel grateful that at least I was honest and truthful in all things, and if they choose to take advantage of that and lie, then that's on their heads.
