Obviously, we were both excited (did I mention they were HUSKER TICKETS?). We went to Omaha on Friday night and got my new MacBook Pro. [Side story: My old computer finally died. After traveling on tons of buses in China, being toted across the country a few times, and surviving me "angry typing" Biology notes on it, it finally gave up. The screen stopped working. I decided spending $350+ to fix it was stupid, and instead got a MacBook Pro! Hooraaaay!] We spent the evening watching a movie at Rebekah's. The next morning we got up and went shopping. For a suit. Skyler and I are INDECISIVE. Ask our families. This wedding is our biggest life challenge, probably. People keep asking what we want for this, that, or the other, and I'll be honest... I don't care. The details don't matter to me. I want to marry my best friend, eat a cupcake, slow dance, and be happy. I don't particularly think that centerpieces affect our eternal happiness, so it doesn't matter too much. If you hate my centerpieces, in a couple of months, please try to not let it affect your eternal happiness either. Because that's weird.
Anyway, back on track, Sky and I went suit shopping with Rebekah. The first one he tried on was ehh, the second one he LOVED. (He's going to kill me for writing this but...)
He walked out of the dressing room practically strutting, turned towards a 3-way mirror, grabbed his bum, and said "My butt looks gooood in this!" Hahahahaha. Rebekah and I got a kick out of it. It was on the pricey side of things so we tried a couple more stores (Skyler got grumpy 1.5 stores in. I don't blame him. Me, too.) and everything was just duds--too light, too dark, too expensive, too ehh. After lunch (I decided he was hangry), we went back and bought Suit #2. & he LOVES it! He does look good in it. :P
Then... on to the HUSKER GAME!!! We went with my friendy Gabe. He's a hoot, and if you don't know him, you should. We survived Cody Park together. That says a lot, for those of you who know just how much I despise that place.
Picture time...
Runzas @ a Husker game. It doesn't get more Nebraskan. (Yes, I like a lot of ketchup. Yes, they already gave me crap for it. No, you don't need to, too.)
Boys don't understand that when I'm bundled up and wearing a big fur hat, I'm not going to smile cute because no matter what it's not going to be cute, so they shouldn't smile cute either. I'll work on teaching them...
Perfect.
Peace, Love & Huskers. <3
Hahaha. I love this picture. We really couldn't be any cuter. Can you imagine what our kiddies will look like?!
First touch down. The boy in front of me was really happy. Hahaha.
Note: Drunk girl behind Sky. She was a good time.
He might look like he's cold. He was actually screaming his lungs out. We're perfect for each other.
Note: Boys in front of us love high fiving. After every play. As if they were the ones down there working their butts off. Super cute.
He was supposed to make his super happy "WE WON" face... whatev.
Classic Alison. "I'm a Nebraska Grandma." (No this is not a preggers shot.)
After the game it took us THREE HOURS to get back to Rebekah's (a 40 minute drive). Skyler drove, I slept, we're a good team.
GBR!!!
